This morning, I varnished and Jennie finished sanding the cockpit. Next, we went through a safety drill in preparation of moving Eidos to the anchorage in the afternoon. My knee is still aching, so Jennie will need to do everything on board.
Unfortunately, the dinghy is still not holding air, so we will need to keep the pump nearby.
At 11:00, Jennie made scrambled eggs with mushrooms for brunch, washed the dishes and then it was rest time. The heat is really taking a toll on my energy.
In the afternoon, while Jennie went grocery shopping, I worked on an article and then cleaned gavros in preparation for making gavros marinados.
Meanwhile, it was time for Jennie's swim. For me it's too much of an effort to walk to the beach and back. A quick
rinse on deck or a squirt from my spray bottle cools me off just as well. While Jennie was at the beach I had a visitor who wanted to take my place on the pontoon and so I decided that it would be too risky for us to give up our prime location and possibly get stuck at the anchorage with a leaky dinghy. So we are staying. I spent the rest of the afternoon coaching Jennie on the art of publishing.
