We had a lovely sunrise this morning, but rain and some strong winds are predicted for today and tomorrow, so I'm staying on board in case I have to close all the hatches and portholes quickly.
In the afternoon we had gusts of up to force 7 and I began to worry. Two boats dragged their anchors but luckily my anchor held. It did not rain but rain is coming tomorrow. The government even sent an extreme weather warning to my mobile phone. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's not too terrible.
We had a thunderstorm just before sunrise on Friday morning and soon the rain turned into a downpour.
This is a screenshot of the lightning strikes over Lefkas Island. Friends' boat got hit by lightning three times in Mitikas harbour which is 12 miles away on the mainland. They lost all their electronics. Luckily, they survived but must have been very frightened.
The rain only stopped temporarily around 8 in the morning and then another downpour came. It is now 10 o'clock and it stopped again. Hopefully that's all we're going to get today.

Two bucketfuls in about 4 hours and the dinghy half full. I now have topped up my water tanks and have enough water for showers, laundry and my garden.
It is an easy pattern. Take a rectangle of fabric, fold it in half, sew together the sides leaving room for arms. Cut out a hole for the head from the top fold and finish the raw edges. I don't have a sewing machine, so had to sew by hand but it only took a couple of hours from beginning to finished dress. I am very happy with it.
