Happily, Meganisi Island is in the lee of the northwesterly wind and we should be spared most of the force.
I went for a walk this morning to check for space in the marina which has been safe for boats overwintering. On my way there, I asked a couple of people about the conditions in the Inner Harbor during such weather. The cafe owner next to my boat told me that where Eidos is moored, the sea will be calm and she will be safe.
I also asked a fisherman who was mending his nets. He confirmed that the harbor is safe for the expected wind.
There is room in the marina, but I will trust the local advice and stay where I am.
The ferry is expected to travel between Nidri and Meganisi, but the fisherman is staying in port.
Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone is safe.
A charter boat lost its engine and was dragging its anchor, so the local men helped move Eidos forward and brought the charter boat safely across. Without their help, I fear the charter boat would have been damaged against the concrete wall.
