Kαλό Πάσχα

Easter bunny left an egg on my door mat.
Happy Greek Easter!
The Greeks celebrate Easter a week after the Catholics and everyone is still under lockdown. The government is doubling the penalties for being out on Saturday night and Sunday to protect everyone from the coronavirus infection. Easter in Greece is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the Spring Equinox. It looks like the planets were all lined up for the celebration on Saturday night.

Venus in the western sky at sunset.
Fireworks at midnight.

Jupiter in the southern sky at dawn.
Greece has become a model country for keeping the infection limited and the authorities have promised to loosen the lockdown starting at the beginning of May. If we all behave.
I am beginning to feel like a child.
To ensure a full larder, I bought enough groceries to last for at least two to three weeks and have been staying on board cleaning and varnishing.

Lefkas Island still has no cases of the virus but I worry that perhaps with more people arriving for the holiday weekend, our good luck may end. And so, I have prepared including purchasing two kilos of flour just in case I don't want to risk going to the bakery.
