Surfing behind a sailboat

I received yet another forward message today and I really need to say this to everyone who sends them on: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, use the BCC (blind carbon copy) button so that everyone's email address is NOT visible in all the messages.

Of course, if you intend to send one of those that says at the bottom, "send this to 10 of your best friends and you will get $5,000 next week," or that "something wonderful will happen to you at 11:05 tomorrow," please remove my email address, because I just automatically delete them. I love to break chain letters. In my opinion they are just another method for some people to gather email addresses to send spam. Call me cynical if you want to... But there is NO FREE LUNCH.

If you really want to share something with me like a 4MB slide show that you consider wonderful, why not just send the link for it, so that it doesn't plug up my mail box (I have a very slow Internet connection).
