Aktio Marine

Aktio Marine is one of the best places to haul out your boat in the Mediterranean. Safe, secure, good prices and very competent staff.

This is how to get to Aktio from the Athens Airport:

When you get to Athens airport, exit outside the building, turn right and there is a bus stop. Take bus X93 to the bus station. It runs every half an hour and costs about 6 Euros. It takes about an hour to get to the intercity bus station.

From there, take a KTEL bus heading to Preveza. The 15:00 bus goes through Aktio but arrives late so you may need to go to Preveza for that night.

It used to leave at 12:30 so check the time. Buy a ticket for Aktio, not Preveza. If you get to Preveza by mistake, it will cost you another 20 Euros for a taxi. Check to make sure when you get to the bus station that it stops in Aktio.
Or spend the night in Preveza and take a bus the next day.

It takes about 5-6 hours to get to Aktio. The bus will stop twice for rest breaks. After the second break, remind the bus driver that you want to get off after the Aktio airport and before the tunnel to Preveza. Just after the airport, there is a traffic light. There are big signs for Aktio, Cleopatra, and Ionian boatyards. Get off there. There is a regular stop just before the tunnel but the driver often will let passengers off at the traffic light. You will see masses of sailboat masts in the distance to the north but that's not the way to walk. There are signs at the intersection pointing the way. West. Cross the main road at the intersection and follow that road. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the boatyard.
I'll meet you at the Panos taverna along the way.
